It's National Flossing Day! Here's Some Dental Advice From Our Dental Experts.

Although no one seems to be sure of the origin of National Flossing Day, we can all agree that flossing on the day after Thanksgiving is a good idea! After all, any mountain of food consumed in less than 24 hours is sure to leave behind some debris between your teeth. Ewww…

Our team has been hard at work teaching children to take care of their teeth. This means watching their sugar consumption, brushing their teeth regularly, and yes….. flossing!

We believe no one is too young to learn to floss. And habits that are formed early will yield a lifetime of results.

So as an organization that prioritizes healthy lifestyles, we’re here to say….

HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND REMEMBER TO FLOSS!

Wrapping Up Our Health Fair

We are also celebrating the end of a successful health fair that saw about 250+ patients and over 80+ families receive medical, dental and vision services!

From November 20 - 22, we not only provided health services, but also conducted health seminars led by a nutritionist and lent a listening to ear to those who needed prayer or space to share their needs. We also distributed healthy groceries, children’s books, educational toys, soccer balls and solar power banks.

One thing that was new about this health fair was the vision services provided by Dr. Alan Kwok. Patients were able to get their eyes tested (many for the first time in their lives) and were allowed to pick out a glasses frame that they liked. Their custom made prescription glasses will then be made in the USA and mailed to Mexico.

Despite his busy schedules, Dr. Joe, one of our visiting dentists took time to share about the importance of flossing.

And in case you needed a tiny reminder about HOW to actually floss…. here’s Dr. Joe again providing a brief demonstration.

We will be sharing more details about our health fair in the coming weeks!

In the meantime, here’s a picture of the dedicated dental team from our health fair - wishing you a very happy flossing day!
