Meet Luis!

Luis is a shy and kind student who is entering 8th grade. With a love for running, writing, and drawing, Luis enjoys activities that are quiet and introspective. His favorite subject is Spanish because it helps him improve his writing and his vocabulary. Luis's favorite colors are black and pink, and his favorite food is rice. When asked what he is most grateful for at Instituto Esperanza, Luis said “My education. I have fun and learn at the same time, and I have learned to be more outgoing.” One day, Luis hopes to study medicine and become a nurse to help people prevent diabetes. At home, Luis lives with his mom, stepfather, brother, and 2 nephews.
