Meet Luz Elena!

Luz Elena is a strong yet peaceful student who is entering 8th grade. In her spare time, Luz Elena helps her mom around the house or visits her dad’s family. Her favorite subject is Spanish because she finds it easy to understand. Luz Elena's favorite color is red, and her favorite food is choripollo tostadas. When asked what she is most grateful for at Instituto Esperanza, Luz Elena said “The teachers are very attentive and nice to people. They serve people well”. One day, Luz Elena hopes to be a doctor because she would like to save lives. At home, Luz Elena lives with her mom and 2 siblings.
